Learn About Our Continence Assessment Process

We’ll help you complete the continence assessment anywhere in Australia

01

Application

Once we receive your application we will be in touch with the next steps and arrange an assessment.

02

Assessment

We will complete a Continence assessment with you either in-person or online. It is preferred to have the participant with you during this process if you are assisting someone else to complete their assessment.

03

Create Draft

We use the information from the detailed assessment form to create a draft document and include our own further product research and individualised information.

04

Optimise Draft

We will make contact with the main person involved or your coordinator to go through the draft and tie together all of the loose ends to provide a comprehensive document. This can be done via email, phone or in-person.

05

Final Report

Once finalised we send you and all relevant people within your multi-disciplinary care team a PDF copy of the finalised document.

FAQs

How long is the turnaround for a continence assessment?

We aim to have all continence assessments completed within 6 weeks of the initial assessment date. However, due to various levels of complexity within each individuals disability and specific needs, additional assessments and gathering of information may take longer.

What is cost to the NDIS plan?

A normal continence assessment takes 6-10 hours. However, everybody is unique and this may vary depending on how much information and collaboration amongst the multidisciplinary care team is required.

How often do I need a continence assessment?

If you use any continence aids or products, we recommend a continence assessment every year or when the NDIS plan is reviewed. This ensures there will be enough funding in the assistive technology budget for yourself, a participant or family member. The updated assessment is considerably shorter than the initial assessment.

What can I do to help with the process?

If you have access to previous allied health reports please provide these as they assist greatly. The more information we have before our initial assessment the faster the process will be.
